Double adjustable shocks for drag racing
I知 looking to upgrade the 72 this winter in preparation for the spring racing season. I do not need coil overs as the stance is how i want it. I知 looking for some adjustability for the track to help get the 60ft numbers down. I already have the BMR frame mounted rear sway bar and the car leaves well. I have added over 100 horsepower from the last time it was at the track. Any advice on front and rear shocks is appreciated. Thank you

I have DA viking shocks added to my 72. Quality seems very good . I did go coil over for the front thou but its not required.
I have not been back to the track since the install, I did install a BMR anti roll bar as well.
100 hp is a nice improvement ! You need it for these heavy cars with all the furniture. I dont have the heart to lighten mine up.
All the above shocks mentioned above are good quality stuff as well.

I haven't personally ran viking but that's what I'm going to next. I'm currently running the single adjustable qa1 shocks . Currently the best 60 ft. Is 1.56 but I'm adding a th350 with a trans brake and plan on going with a 4.33 should be interesting as it's back to square one. I run afco 80/20's in the front as suggested by a few racers.

Some class racers use Calvert shocks, they are also easier on the wallet than the high end race shocks. They are not a bolt in you will have to open up the control arm a little due to the increase in shock body diameter.
I'm not saying they are in the same class of shock as some of the above listed shocks.

I heard the rear calvert adjustables are pretty good. I regret my single Qa1's considering I have them on the softest setting . I should have just got some 50/50's and been done with it.

The Calvert rear adjustable shock is only a single adjust. I have not tried them yet. I do run their 90/10 in the front. They are very loose on launch but seem very stable down track. They are very good for the price.

Duh for what I spent on the qa1 I wish I went with the Calverts for alot less. I run the afco 80/20 I'm the front as the front end was coming up wayyy to fast and unloading the rear.

I think I’m going with the Qa1 double adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. I have Viking double adjustable on my Trans Am and i like them but my local speed shop cant get them.
