Been away a while so missed this thread's progression. In the end then, you had a bad coil, it seems so improbable that an inert object encased in a can of oil sealed from outside environments can do that but, yeah it happens.

I am going to re test the old coil as Vintage chief suggested and compare to the other coil I found here, I’m curious also.
I haven’t been with the car today but hope to do this tomorrow and having issues downloading a video file of it running. Funny I can post an FB pages but not on this site now for some reason it’s even within the limits but I’ll see what I can do.
But yes, sweet sounding engine though.

John- This side is not like FB - it's not set up to publish videos. You can w/ certain size limitations, but those limitations are tiny. Truly your best case scenario is to publish your video to YouTube then publish the YouTube URL (link) in a post here. Good Luck!
