Would these fit?

Would these rims fit on my 1984 Cutlass Supreme? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/22-IN...mZ280646638275

All help would be appreciated and what size tires would you prefer.

No. they would make your car look like a tractor.
17" is the largest diameter you should use and IMO the classic American Racing or SSI or SSII are the best looking.

If you didn't want opinions on what some of us would like don't ask "what size tire would you prefer." Some of us will "perfer" something other than the 22" tractor rims.

I do think you '84 should have the same 4 3/4 X 5 bolt as advertised in the ebay listing.

yes they should fit the bolt pattern. IMO the 5 spoke is a classic design. I have a set of 5 spoke 17's on my Sonata that look really nice, but no way I'd spend 1400.00 for them. You probably know but what the heck. If you're going to get these for sure, you should have the shop dry mount them on your car first so you can see how the clearances will work. Once they have rubber on them, they're yours whether you like em or not. Have you looked at sites that will show imaging of the wheels on the car (simulation). I looked at Tire Rack, but the largest they show for your car is 17 inch.

Also IMHO, these could look cool on your ride, but you know that it's not something that most traditional Olds enthusiasts gravitate to, especially in that diameter. Anyway, it's your ride, do what you want with it. 'Donk' cars are just not one of the looks I particuarly like. You never specified the size of tires in your original post.

Have you considered the change this will make to acceleration; and '4 point' turns where most cars will be able to simply do a u? I agree with Geowindow about rethinking the size, but like I said It's your car.
