Whitewall Tires for '55 S88

My car currently has 215/75R15 tires on it and the speedo is off. From my research the car came with 7.60x15 which converts to a 225/75R15 tire.
What are you guys running on your '54-56 Super 88s ? Diamondback has 3 options for whitewall width (2 3/4", 3", 3 3/8") https://dbtires.com/product/diamond-back-i/
Any pics would be nice.

To bad you are not closer. I have a set of five Coker BF Goodrich reproduction tires with not a lot of miles on them. The spare has never been on the ground. They have the correct 2 3/4 inch whitewall. They are several years old but I don't think bias ply tires deteriorate with age like radials do. I took them off the 54 I had and put radials on it. I will say the radials are a big improvement. Coker has the correct size tires but they are no where close to cheap.

So 225/75R15 is the correct size then? You answered my other question on whitewall size (2 3/4"). I want to go with radials. Thanks!

Waiting on your pics of your whitewalls, this is what is on my car now, again its a 215/75R15 and I am pretty sure I need to order a 225/75R15 with a 2 3/4" whitewall to be correct.

I am sorry I don't remember and I don't have the car anymore. It is whatever Coker recommended for the car. The bias ply tires I have are in my storage unit.

ok, Coker does say 225/75R15 so that must be it, just confirming what I thought. The previous owner of my '55 went 1 size smaller which explains the speedo running too fast.

You will be happy with them. They just look right on the car.
