Wheel covers and hubcaps..

Been looking into different wheel options, and i've stumbled accross a few old muscle type cars with their old steel wheels painted black, with a dog dish style hubcap in the middle covering the bolts, then a nice white letter tyre. Looks pretty cool. Would also be easy to convert back to standard for shows etc..
My 72 Delta is currently wearing its original wheel covers, where can i get some small dog dish type hubcaps to cover the wheel bolts?
Several places list them for smoothies, or model specific ones for Mustangs etc.
What would i need to buy to fit on my Deltas steel wheels?

www.fusick.com has reproduction 67-73 dog dish caps. Download the Cutlass-442 catalog. It's a huge file though and will take a while to download.

I think I'd lean toward 1965 Olds caps though. Those were some of the best-looking dogbowl caps ever designed for any car and I think will fit your factory steel wheels. They'll also have a correct design Rocket. You can see them on TK-65's car.

Personally, I think the steelies look better painted body color with dog dish caps than black.

Nearly $300 a set!!
Downloaded the catalogs and it looks like Fusick's prices are pretty steep for most things.

My 64 with '65 caps. I have a few sets - I may part with a set. I also have at least two sets of the early seventies style.

Some great suggestions there.
I like the ones in the last pic Napolean. They might look real good on black rims with RWL tires...

I really like the look of the dog dish up caps. I was thinking about picking up a set if decent driver quality ones came up on the market somewhere for not that much. For now I have wire hub caps that I think look really good too.

Those wires class the joint up quite a bit. They look expensive - as in 'trying to find a set' expensive.
Octanejunkie - those PC's in the last pic are from the early seventies - perfeck for your Delta. I have at least 2 sets - I can put the best set together for you for say fifty bucks plus shipping if you're interested.

For Octanejunkie, or anybody else......the wheel covers pictured above are for 1968 F85 or Cutlass/442, but will fit many other cars with 14" wheels!

I have a very nice set advertised on ClassicOldsmobile elsewhere, and used them on a 1966 Starfire.....they looked GREAT!
