Wheel color options.....

So I picked up this restored 59 Dynamic 4 "More Door" sedan. I will be keeping the stock 14 inch wheels. Would this have most likely had blackwalls originally? Should the rims be body color? I am not a slave to originality, but the thin white walls just look wrong to me.
I am interested in your opinions.

Awesome. I will powder coat the wheels black and run the skinny whitewalls until funds allow for the thick ones.
Thanks.
Another question: Was it common for Dynamics to be two tone? Not that I will paint it, but I would guess two tone cars were Supers.
Thanks.

Those cars would have had white wheels as standard since it goes with all colors, with body color wheels optional. Look on your body plate and there's probably a 3rd paint code on it which would have been the wheel color.
Yup- most Dynamics and a lot of S88/98 had dogbowls with trim rings. Olds was one of the few cars that could pull that off and still make their cars look upscale.
Blackwalls would have been standard with wide whites optional.

. The rubber was $300 vs $1,000 for wide whites. I will run the poverty caps without the trim rings.
