What do you call and where can you get the silver whoosamawhatsits on 70's 14 in rims
Can anybody give me a word from the wise as to what you call the silver pieces surrounding the holes in Rims ? Even better yet a place to buy them ? I saw the whole rims for a couple hundred bucks on ebay, but figured I would just restore the ones that came on the car. I have a 70 Rallye 350 and I need to source center pieces as well as the chrome bits, It would probably help if I knew what to call them. Thanks in advance !
the wheels are "Super Stock III" in Oldsmobile speak (ONLY the Rallye 350 and Pace Car Cutlass & 442 had body color painted wheels in 1970)
the factory correct wheel for your Rallye 350 are 14x7.0" wide & have bolt on "center caps"
the correct "bezel" trim around the wheel "windows" are different than those pictured above - they are more "rounded" and have a detail line on them
here is a correct wheel for 1970, ignore the trim ring & argent paint
