I have been trying to determine what "SS1" rims are correct for my 67 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I was sold a set of 4 original SS1 rims which have a satin chrome spokes with the rest of the wheel and rim painted black. Almost all stores which sell reproduction SS1 rims for Oldsmobiles have wheels which have bright chrome spokes and rims (no trim ring). Are both styles Oldsmobile rims? Were the rims with bright chrome only supplied with 442 models and the other style with black rims on non-442 models? I would appreciate clarification on this.
