Tire sizes that fit a 67 Cutlass

So i am going for a muscle look on my 67 but not a drag type look if that makes any sense. Id like to know if anyone has any suggestions of what tires should go on the front wheels as well as the back wheels. Definitely want that beefy look on back with a bigger tire size but again i dont want it to be toooo much like a drag racer. Thanks..

If you want the same size tire front and back, the front is the limiting factor. I run front tires with a true 28" diameter, but they are not wide. Extra wide tires might have to be shorter. In the rear, you can run 28 or a bit bigger without mods and with the correct wheel offsets, they can be wide. They should be 1/2" to 1" offset to the outside to fit the max tire, depending on whether you have the wider rear used in 66-7 F85s plus 68-up A bodies, or the 65-7 Chevelle, etc. narrower rear.

I'm running 275/60X15 in rear, and these fit great. Plus, it's a popular size tire, so easy to get.

In the front, I'm running 235/60x15, but I want to go taller. Height-wise, they seem too small. Going taller, like Run to Rind said, you may be required to run a narrower tire.

If you stay with a 7" wide wheel you can run P275-60-15's (27.99" tall x 10.83 wide) in the back and P225-70-15 (27.4" tall and 8.86 wide) in the front. If your front suspension is weak you may get a small amount of rubbing on the rear wheel well. If that's the case I would go with a tire that's closer to a 27" tire in the front. My car is lifted a few inches with heavier springs.

I am running 235 60 14 on two of my cars and 225 70 14 on another and 275 60 15 on back on one and 235 60 15 on front.
