Tire question

So the wife and I have been looking at some new wheels for the Olds, while I don't mind 14" steelies with hubcaps, she doesn't (makes her feel like she should have blue hair). So we have been looking at some American Racing Torque Thrust D's to fill up the wheel well.

And was wondering if you had to choose

would you go with

235/60 16 of which seems like it would fill up the area (27" tire) on a 16x8 rim plus leaves room for some much needed better front brakes

or

215/65 15 of which is somewhat smaller but still gives the car a better stance then the 195/75/14 that are on there now

Frankly, I'd go with the 16" wheels if only for future ease in finding tires. Just make sure everything fits nicely. Extra space for disc brake upgrade is icing on the cake.
