So other than that, no difference?

Depends upon the year. For example, the SSIII became a 15” wheel with snap-on center caps in 1975; prior to that it was a 14” with bolt-on center caps.

As others have noted, RPO N66 SuperStock II wheels are argent, RPO N67 SuperStock III wheels are lower body color. Within a given year, that is the ONLY difference. For your 1972:

An apparent contradiction. Who's right?

Read it again. There is no contradiction. WITHIN A GIVEN YEAR, the only difference is paint. That means that all SSII and SSIII wheels within ONE MODEL YEAR are the same stamping. Yeah, in 1974 you could get 14" and 15" versions, but again the only difference between SSII and SSIII was the paint. Also, the center disk is still the same stamping on 14" and 15" versions - only the rim is different.

How about clarification on the bolt on caps and snap in caps. I know that 14" came with both. My 75 Hurst has 15" with snap in caps but I think the 15's also came with bolt in caps.

All 1974-older are bolt-in. All 1975-newer are snap in. Again, WITHIN a given year, the only difference is paint.
