Hello and thanks in advance for your input.
looking at options for my 69 442 convertible.
it has a beautiful paint and right now running 14 in. SS2 from ‘70.
i am kind of tired of the stock look, but don’t want to get crazy with the large wheels you see these days.
I was thinking maybe 16-17 size.
Stock suspension, and disc brakes, and I don’t want to keep stock suspension. With no lift.

i don’t mind having two different sizes front and rear, but offset is obviously important, and I don’t have any clues.
Also tires and sizes would be helpful too.

I do realize this is all subjective, but figured there are enough samples that you guys would know,
anyway, I appreciate input and photos.
not too worried about price right now, want to see what’s out there.
thanks.
Mike

245-50-17 on American Racing Torque Thrusts 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing. Rear wheels have 1" aluminum spacers mounted to drums to give a slightly staggered look out back

Note you'll likely have to change your speedo gear set if you move up a significant increase in tire height. I originally rebuilt my TH350 with a set geared for the 15x8 wheels/tires I added to the car when first going thru it, so I was able to match the 17" tire height to the same specs as the 15's when I swapped and maintain the same speedo accuracy.

Close up of actual tire height so you can better gauge the look of the combo - lots of modern tech 17" tire choices compared to the relatively few 15's out there, but none I've seen that have white-letter options.....

They remind me of the classic Cragar wheels.
actually had those on my Olds back in the day.
