Need wheel choice help!

Need wheel choice help!
OK nearing the end of my Jetfire project. Need help with size, color and other options.
This is just a temporary choice. The final wheel will be 5 lug but thats not for a year or two.
Here is what I have. 13" black wall tire and rim. Tires near new. Dog dish hub cap. Check the two attached photos. The second choice is 14" black wall tire. White rims need tires. Dog dish hub cap.
Just trying to select size, trim ring and color.

My vote would be white, although I think a nice set of Cragar SS rims would really set your car off.
I like the old school Cragar look with RWL BFG TA'S myself.
Very nice car
Cheers
Eric

White. But like Eric said, Cragars would look good too.

IMHO, I like the second picture best. The green contrasts with the white of the car and the chrome hubcap.

Ken,

Are those the factory 14" wheels for 1963? I've got 14x5 slot mags on my 62 with 195/70-14s in the front and 205/70-14s in the back.

14" just to have a little more choice on tires & maybe a little more footprint.

There are a LOT more choices in 14" tires, but "footprint" is unrelated to wheel diameter. You can buy 13" tires that are wider than most 14" tires. The problem is that they are all very low profile and look ridiculous on a 63 Cutlass. The stock 13" tires were 6.50x13s, which were close to 24" tall. The tallest modern 13" tire you can buy (short of very expensive repro tires) is 185/70-13, which is only 23" in diameter.

To everyone thanks for all your input! When I change to 5 lug wheels may look at Cragar SS. One thing I would like to find is a set of 14" trim rings for these wheels Anyone have any contact me.
Thanks again,
Ken

I know I'm late to the party, but those white rims look great!

When I put a set of 15" Y75 wheels on my Jetstar I some years back, I discovered they had a narrow trim ring available (attached). Never wanted those for my car, but are the rings you are thinking about for your own car a similar design (i.e. narrow, fit within the recess of the outer lip)? Just curious...

These trim rings are aftermarket but may work:

OK updated the Jetfire to 14" wheels and white wall tires. Painted the rims black.
What do you think?

That looks good also! The white wall breaks up the all black look.

I think the black rims look better with the whitewalls but personally I like the white rims and blackwalls better. But that is just me and it is your car and it should look like you want it to. I am not saying the black rims look bad.
