Hoosier Pro Street Radials vs. M.T. Drag Radials

I am on the fence between the Hoosier Pro Street Radials size 29x12.50x15 & the Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials size 325/50/15. I have 15x10 wheels with 5.5" of back spacing, so I know either tire will fit my '72 Cutlass Supreme. I do not drag the car, just looking for the biggest radial tire I can fit in my wheel wells. The hoosiers are $292 per tire & the M.T.s are $215 per tire, but cost is not really a factor. I have attached the links to both tires below. Does anyone have any experience with either of these tires or any input either way? Thanks, Bob

Judging simply by the tread pattern or lack of thereof, I'd go with the Hoosiers. If you're planning on driving the car at all, they'd be the more practical choice. [ Keep in mind, that even if they fit in the wheelwells, there is always a chance they are too big to look right.]

The et street's are good. The m/t sportmans are also good so are the hoosiers. if you are looking for a good tire on and off the the track the bfg comp t/a's are great almost same pattern and the t/a radials but with a solid strip in the middle i ran these tires for a season mi bought them used and even on the last day they where still sticky. Im currently running the m/t street drag radials The have been good i run them at the strip no on the street i did for sometime then i got caught in the rain and crashed in to the wall on the highway. The m/t's so far have about 55 runs on them and are still sticking well and have plenty of life left .

Thumbs up

Thanks for the input. I decided to go with the Hoosier Pro Street Radials. They arrived today and they look awesome. I can't wait to see them on the car.

I will post some pics, but it will be a while. I had to order the American Racing Torque Thrust ll wheels with the custom offset and they said 5-7 weeks.
