Drag Radials

I am looking at DOT drag radials for next season and was looking for good/bad experiences with the different brands. I have about a 25 mile drive to the strip and heard the Hoosiers are not good on the street. Thanks for any input!

The best thing you can get are the MT ET Street Radial. I used them before and they were awesome! I tried Hoosier Quick Time Pro's last go round and I can't wait to burn them up, I'm going back to the ET Street Radial.

Check out Danny's (70Wcars) 10.50 car pulling the wheels on a 9" ET Street Radial:

x2 on the M/T's. Can't go wrong - they're the best drag radial, period.

I would go with the bf goodrich tires about a inch or two less then youre regular size it will increase your gearing this way and when you pull into the strip these tires will be super sticky i pulled off a 1 thirty eight 60 ft on these tires right off the street with plenty of torque to handle.

I have a pair of BFG g-force 275-60/15's that a friend gave to me used. They have a few passes left in them, but I will need to replace them after a few weekends at the strip. I haven't run them yet, so I'm not sure how they will hook.

Do you remember what your ET was when you ran the 1.38 60'?

I'm sorry but I find this hard to believe. It's common knowledge that the BFG Drag Radials are the worst for traction. My vote is for the MT's

M/T are the fastest Drag Radial I have used. As Steve said, I have gone 1.40 in the 60' on 9" wide. 18.5 pounds of air.

Just my experience

hey guys i love mts for regular slicks but seriously off the street and on the street i have had better traction with the bf goodriches. I save the sticky mickeys for super serious bottle time.

BFG's are terrible compared to M/T's

I was cutting 1.53-1.55 with a car running 11.0 so I going to assume your 1.38 was a bit of a miss print right

That's what I was getting at...Danny and Nick are both running 9's with 1.32-1.36 60' times.

BFG Drag Radials will last longer than M/T's Drag Radial's but Mickey T's have better hook.

I have a set of mt et street radials that hook well for a street car and i also use them frequently on the highway as well. I have no complaints other than i cant seem to get more than one season on a set but i do enjoy a good smokey burnout so that could have alot to do with it! I will be buying another set next week for the bop race at cordova in 2 weeks. I get a 1.7 60ft time with a street car on about 19 lbs so thats not bad.

Copper, thanks for the offer, but I want to see how the car likes the 28 inch tall tires before I decide to go to a 26 inch. I will keep you in mind if I need a shorter tire this spring.
