Help idenity 15" Rally Wheels


Hi, few years back I bought a set of 4 SS oldsmobile rally wheels from someone of craigslist. I am looking around for the value because I am going to put them for sale but I am having a hard time finding any 15". Almost everything is in 14" rim. Is the 15" from a specific year and model?

15" SSII/III wheels with bolt in centers were only made during the 1973-74 model years. They are relatively rare.

Don't bother. Not that rare, but still desirable.

If the trim rings aren't scuffed up, figure $200 for a set, maybe $250.

$200 - $250 is not for a single wheel; that price would be for a set of wheels. In the past I bought a set of 4 wheels and another time a set of 5 wheels for that price range.

Hi Joe P or anyone who knows answer, I have a set of these 73-74 bolt on center cap 15 inch SSII/SSIII rims and am trying to match correct depth trim rings. 2&3/8 VS 2&3/4 deep. Any ideas? Thanks Ed. Fusick shows 1 choice but OPGI shows 2 depths available

My 15x7 SSIII trim rings measure around 2 3/4" depth.

Thanks Ken. I was trying to expand the pic of your 71 convert as large as possible to see the wheels. Looks like what I'm after. I saw that initial post about a 3 inch linear face. We need a math whiz -sine,cosine,tangent, angle of bevel, and 3 inches and somehow we would nail that depth mathematically. Never understood that class.

How about this for a better picture?

I didn't have a straight edge to place across the outside of the trim ring to get a precise depth measurement, so I just eyeballed it with the tape measure.
