Question Help to confirm American racing Wheel size

hi Everybody,

I'm french, so sorry for my language error.
I need some help to confirme my choice. I have 72 Cutlass Supreme Hardtop Sedan (4 doors). My car was never retorded except exhaust and it work perfectly. I use it for travel in Europe, i'm living in France and this car was bought near Paris at General Motor in 1972. I love it and I want keep it nearly like original. But with the actual tire size, my car look "poor": too many space betwen tire and
But I have to change the 4 tires (used). I would like to give it a look more strongly but not a drag. I choose American racing wheel 15" x 8":

This model and ref
VN5155863 - 15" x 8" - 5x120.70 - offset 0, backspace 4.50
I will put tire size 235 or 245 x60r15 in the front and 255x60r15 in the rear
Do you think it's OK and it will not rub when I turn (for front) or when I charge my car with heavy luggage (for rear)?

That should be fine for the front. I am running 245/60/15 on 15x8 4.5 backspacing with no problems. Also my car is lowered in the front, so yours with stock suspension should have no issues.

I would go with 275 for the rear.

Thank you for you fast answer.
Do you think it will be good with 255/60/15 for the 4 wheels or it's too much for the front?
The tires (cooper and BFG) are very expensive in France so I think i will put General Tire Grabber HP (OWL) that I can find for the half of price. Do you think it's a good idea?

If you are at stock height, it should be no problems.

I tried it on my car and it was rubbing on the fender, but my car is lowered.

The General tires will probably be fine for cruising/car shows. I always look at my application and then match a tire to that.

275 on the rear, do I have to considère a -18 offset on the wheel (I don't want it rubbing) and to be nicer?

You could, it would give you a little more "lip" on the wheel and it will push it out a bit. Both 0 offset and -18 will be fine on a 15x8.
