Drag radials and wheels

What size drag radials and wheels are y’all using. Specifically 68-72 Cutlass.

The rub slightly on the inside wheel well.
Usually only when I dont air the back up after going to the track and then drive on the street. (20.5psi)
At normal inflation (26psi) they dont rub.

25 on the street...20.5 at the track.
Anything less than 19 at the track and the tires start to cup.

I've seen it, and it is 100% bada$$! I think he's running 295/65s?
No one has Nitto 555Rs? I guess that says it all, huh? I've been playing with air pressure and launch rpm, but still can't get it to hook for crap.

Flemming if you have a stick car perhaps try a bias ply. My mph between slicks and drag radials is the same also I have ran the nittos they work well but if you drive them alot they loose their bite where as the mickey thompson s last longer in that dept.

I can see why you guys run them. I actually ordered the MT drag radials but ET Street Bias ply arrived instead. With any of the bias ply slicks, we were running 8 to 9 psi for best traction at our track. I was running more psi, I followed what the other guys were doing and picked up my 60 ft a bit.

On marginal prep the bias plys work on 15 is the suspension is there. I run my drag radials at 18 but that's a habit for me I need to bump it up. Oddly enough. My mph and 60 ft is identical between the 2. My suspension was set up for the bias plys . All I do for the radials is that 2 inches of travel out and set the shocks a few clicks up.

My 88's suspension sucked. The car launched like it was on glass. I was running around 15 psi as well but talking to the other guys with faster cars of various makes, they ran 8 or 9 psi on the airport, which was our track. My 60 ft improved but I did notice slight rubbing on the frame with that low of pressure. If I can get the 3.90 gears and posi in and a wideband in ideally, I want to run it, I miss the track. If Estevan is open, I will try to make it. It isn't just the Pandemic, with oil being down, looking better lately, that City is hurting, was less toys cruising the streets last trip. That will basically leave Saskatoon, 4 hours away, pretty far. I also want to get my 70 to primer as well. Then there is the whole engine build as well.
