Bolt Pattern Help

Hey CO, I have a 1970 cutlass s. 5x5.75 bolt pattern. i was running adapters 5x4.75 to 5x4.5 or 114.3. This was fine with my past rims as far as clearance. With my new rims Im running into clearance issues as far as width so having the extra inch back by taking off the adatoirs especially on the front would be great. the question i have is can i get rotors that are 5x4.5 and just put them on and away i go? Do i need to look into having the rims drilled if possible to fit the 5.4.75 rotor? Any guidance would be appreciated. i know in the past I read some models came with the 5x4.5 pattern stock so hoping i can just swap out the rotors that way.

Thanks

This looks like a possible alternative...

Why do you want to change the size? That eliminates standard wheels, drums, axles, rotors and hubs. All things that may need changed sometime down the road. I am familiar with 5 X 4.75 on A body cars and 5 X 5 on B body cars, but 5 X 4.5? Were they used on the early F85 cars which were smaller and more compact and light weight?

I dont think there were any 4x4.5 used. I just got a good deal on the wheels which are 5x4.5. If there was an inexpensive way to make the adjustment then it would be worth doing IMO. I think if I re drill the fron rotors that will give me what I need. If i do unertake the conversion Ill post the process. If i do this on a new set of rotors since I rarely drive the car i shouldnt have to change them out for a while.

61-63 was 4 x 4.5 bolt wheels, I personally would change wheels to a standard 4.75 less work and better for resale
