68 SSI wheels and tires

Hello

I have a 68 442 with 255/60 on the front with 7 in SSI reproduction rims. On the back I have 275/60 on 8 inch rims. they have been on there about 6 yrears and unfortuantely the front right one rubs when I hit a hole/bump. just last week that right wheel hit my under the car air induction scoop and pretty much destroyed it. Is it possible for me to put larger springs or heavy duty shocks to help this proplem or am I just going to go with a smaller tire size. The back does not rub.Any suggestions is appreciated.

I ran 255/60-15 BFGs on the stock rims on my 69 H/O and I also had a rub if I hit a bump with the wheels turned. The 68 O.A.I. scoops make it worse, unfortunately. You might want to consider 245/60-14s in the front.

Thank you Joe

69 scoops, too. You just have a mailbox welded to your hood instead.
