15x8 & 15x10 SS1 wheels on 66-67 Cutlass/442
Does anyone have these wheels on a 66-67 that they could provide a picture of?
I would like to upgrade to a different tire/wheel combination but not sure I want to lose the old school look & do a larger diameter wheel.
I found a picture of the wheels on the newer body style belonging to Rick442, but could find none on a 66-67 for comparison.
I really like the look here.
The 66-67 cars have a ton of fender room & I always thought factory sized tires look lost under the car.
I currently have 15x8.5 wheels with 3.5" BS, but the old wheels from the 90's look dated. Sorry no pics handy.

They do have a lot of room.. Years ago I put Diamondback Redlines 275/60 15 by 8 Cragar's on my 67 on the back. Stock rear end height. 235/60 15x7 Cragars in the front on 1 inch drop springs. Front rubbed a bit with a passenger in hard turns.

Beautiful cars. I love both wheels on both shots. The first shot. I love that look. I put 15 inch Buick wheels with Oldsmobile center caps literally the second day after I brought my 70 442 home. Loved the look. I had 275 60's in the back and 245 60's in the front. 455 needed all that tread and more.

Thanks for the input.
It's good to see some different combinations.
It is disappointing that there are not more performance oriented 15" tire choices.
Seems as though 17" sizes are even being phased out in favor of larger sizes as time progresses.
