1966 F-85 station wagons, not Vista Cruisers

Anybody else have a 1966 F-85 station wagon? I'd love to see and hear about yours. Please post a picture or two. Please post any pictures of 66 F-85 wagons from magazines or whatever. Does a 66 factory dealer brochure have some nice pictures of a F-85 wagon?

I bought my wagon last December. She's all stock except for the rally wheels and Flowmaster muffler I installed. My F-85 wagon is the Deluxe model with some nice options: 330, AT, AC, PS, PB, power rear window, remote mirror and tilt wheel. Also has a vanity mirror on the passenger side sun visor. The original protecto plate was still in the glove box.

I'd also like seeing 67 F-85 wagons. They are very similar.

Sharp car! Thanks for posting the photos. I don't have a wagon. But I do keep my eyes open for 60's wagon. I think I prefer the standard wagons myself.

A 2 door would be nice but I think {delete} was the only one ...

Look what google popped up for two door olds ...

Neat 1948 Oldsmobile woody station wagon.

I sure would like to see some 1966 F-85 wagons! I haven't found any with Google. I've only seen one other 66 F-85 wagon since I bought mine. It was for sale on ebay, selling for around $1500. That one was very similar to mine but may have had some rust issues. The rear bumper was covered with rust. Fortunately mine doesn't have much rust but needs a little body work and paint. Wish I could find some nice straight bumpers. Both of mine are bent pretty bad.

GM should have made more 2-door A-body wagons! Not just the 64-65 Chevelle's.

Station wagons are cool. Personally I like the Custom Cruisers; however, the smaller ones are cool as well!

Very nice car!

You CAN get those ol' bent, rusted bumpers straightened out and rechoromed, you know. Realy a nice lookin' car, and I, of course, have a certain fondness for the Flat Top Wagons, for some reason.........

Thanks for the compliment. I hope to get the bumpers straightened soon. I just haven't had the money.

I'm with you on that... If you find a good place to straighten bumpers, be sure to post it. In looking for a rear bumper for my '67 (Pontiac) wagon, the best I could find was about $750 to re-work it....

We had to get another bumper for our F85 after someone hit it while it was parked. J.B's Quality Metal Finishing did a great job with a front bumper for our wagon. It was about the same cost as Longroof paid, but it's a great looking bumper, and in our case his insurance paid the bill. I know they have a shop in Portland, OR, but they send the work to their shop in CA.

There's a shop in Balch Springs (suburb of Dallas, TX -Economy Chrome Plating) that will do a fine job on your bumpers for somewhere around $300-350. They also sandblast and powdercoat. The owner is a crusty ol' gentleman. I enjoy his stories, especially how much he hates Atmos Energy (Gas company) and what they charge him to heat his vats.

The chrome shops I've checked want anywhere from $250 to $350. I might use Superior Chrome Plating in Houston. I've heard many positive comments about them.

Thanks. It has the 330 with a TH350. Power steering is the only option it has, but I am the third owner and I think it has 86,000 original miles.

Cool. I like the TH350 swap. I heard mine has fairly low miles too for a 40+ year old vehicle with 125,208.

Is your wagon a F-85 or F-85 Deluxe? Do you have a picture of your interior? I'd like to see how your interior differs from mine if yours is a standard F-85.

I guess it's the Deluxe and looks very similar to yours. But mine is the brown and tan interior. I'll try to get some pics.

I'd love to see a picture either way. The Deluxe model has simulated wood grain on the door panels. Does your dash emblem say Deluxe on it?

My '67 Olds f85 Wagon (oldsmojo1)

You may have already seen my car from a few months ago, but here it is again. Thanks for looking! I may sell the car for a very fair price if there is any interest out there??

I am looking for rear tail light lenses. Mine are in good shape, but 1 appears to be a Vista Cruiser lens (L) which is a little more fancy than the (R). Both sides have a "nubby" effect molded in, but the (L) also has 5 molded horizontal bars on it?? I guess '66 lenses would also work??

THANKS!

I do remember seeing your 67 wagon. I like it!

I wish new tail light lenses were available for our wagons.

Is yours the blue 65 wagon I saw on the big island craigslist for sale back in March/April (I think)???
I know this is an OLD thread, hope you still visit this site.
Wish I would have seen this thread before we visited Pahoa last Nov.

66 Wagon

I own a 1966 Deluxe F-85 Wagon (including a roof rack)- purchased by my father in New Jersey.
I've shown the auto at the 1995 O.C.A. Grand Nationals in Greensboro, NC, but now it basically
sits awaiting a paint job that will take it to its original color - ocean mist.

Since this thread is 4 yeard old maybe you wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the f-85 wagon I had at about that time. I like wagons and have another one, brand X with more windows.

No.
You came all the way from Dallas to Columbus OH for Goodguys?
I'm not sure when I owned the wagon, I guess it has been quite a while and I didn't realize it.
I saw a post on ROP about the wagon, got the number, talked to the guy, got on a plane 3 days later and flew to Ft Lauderdale FL. He met me at the airport, we went to the parking garage, he started it, I walked around it, gave him a check, got in and headed for Ohio. The whole deal couldn't have taken 10 minutes. I kept it through the winter, sold it to a friend, he kept it for a while and sold it at a Rod Run in Pigeon Forge TN I think.
I saw it advertised for sale on ebay I think in 2011, it was in PA. I think I still have the phone number from the auction.
Was it for sale at Goodguys? It was/is a really good car, original paint, not good but mostly original. It was beautiful underneath, solid car.

I think the guy was from Tennessee now that I think about it.
It was for sale I think he was asking 7500.00 ish

I took my old 66 up there the first year it was finished. Saturday they had me park in the pros picks area. We had a blast. It is "the" show of all shows GG does IMO.

It's always nice to see activity on this thread. I remember seeing your F-85 wagon for sale. I guess was about 4 years ago. Time flies. Good looking Buick too.

Does anybody have a 66 F-85 dealer brochure? It must have some cool pictures of wagons.
