66 442 Jim

I would like to replace my minivan that I do not drive very often with a ’66 to ’71 VC. I found this one on CL: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...898107662.html

It is a ’69 and is located in Redondo Beach. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area and was wondering if anyone in that area knows about this car or is willing to go and check it out for me. I am looking for a driver, something that needs little work. I already have a project car with a ’66 442 rustbucket.

72Cutty, thanks for the offer. I'd like you to look for rust, especially around the windows and fenders. He states that it is a 400 CID engine and I would also like that confirmed. This is the email that I got back from him:

"The dash is new,will need new seats or re-do the existing ones. Engine rebuilt about 10k ago.400 c.i. Runs out very nice. It's balanced,mild Crower cam. Edelbrock manifold/carb. New petronix distributor. Good spark. Starts right up. All new front end. Bushing ,etc,etc. rear control arm bushings. Has a squeak in the front I can't find. Since my heart attack and I lost vision in one eye, I don't have the desire to work on it like I used to . Car is in Manhattan Beach, CA. 90266.Call me I'll show it to you. Art 310-379-0127"

I just would like you to let me know what you think of the car before I go fly down to see it myself, as I have been very dissapointed after travelling a long way to look at a car in the past.
