Damn Kids
Hey my kid draged home a custom cruiser today. So I kicked him out of the house No wagons here I said.
Ok I was just kidding I did not kick him out.
See this is where I ask you wagon guys how too ???? (please) Ther is rust uder the wood grain. yes its true I know that has not happened to anyone here or the world its just my luck right. Well if it has happened to someone you know how do you get all the contact paper off the sides. (opps! I mean wood grain) Ther has to be a trick to it come wagon guys give me some help. ( and some poop ) Thanks for your help as you can see by this ad I need it. (oh its a 87 I know no that old but it is older then him LOL) Tin man

OK, on a more serious note, what worked for me was a heat gun....once you get a corner started, heat a few inches ahead and pull gently, trying to keep in one piece! A plastic scraper helps behind it while you're at it also! Really, there is no easy way!

It's not contact paper!
It's cast woodgrain vinyl, contact paper is for shelves.
Like Erik said, use a heat gun and a lot of patience.
You may pull some of the paint off with the woodgrain too.

Ok I will try the old heat gun trick. Thanks for your thoughts. Lighting it on fire is not a bad Idea but the kid would be upset and that would make mama upset. I don't want to do that. Thanks Tin man

Be aware that the woodgrain appliqué is NOT contact paper. It is a much thicker vinyl material with a clear cover and made from UV resistant materials. Once you remove it, you cannot replace it with shelf paper. The correct material is not cheap, either.
