91/92 OCC Keys

Hello All,

When I bought my 92 OCC, it didn't come with the original keys. My ignition key seems to be too long and interferes with the shifter lever.
Can someone take a look at your original ignition key and let me know what the letter is on that key?
I think that letter signifies the size/style/shape of the key. Mine said "E" but thinking that may not be correct.

Did the original keys have the plastic end on the key head or was it just metal with GM logo?

Thanks for any feedback.
Mike

Just looked in my book and every Olds for 91 either had a E key standard length, VATS key or the W E key which is the large head as the ignition switch has no ears to twist in the on position.
Can you post a picture of your key?

Thanks Jeff. It is the Standard E key then for me as I don't have VATS and the ignition ring does have the "ears" on it. Still looking for any info if the key is naked or has the plastic molded feature on the head.

The original key did not have a plastic end on it.

You can go to a GM dealer with the title and car, and they can make a new original key for you.

Usually they only go 10 years back. If your really good friends with service department it might help.
