'70 Vista rear luggage compartment Vinyl Flooring/Material
Does anyone reproduce the unique thin vinyl material that you see on a lot of the late 60's/early 70's Vista and other A body wagons. This is a sort of lightly textured material with lines (reverse ridges) running down the material spaced approx 3/4" or so apart.
It's the stuff that was installed by the factory back on the "floor" areas of the rear area of the wagons. Also found on the backside of the middle seat or on the filler panel that folds forward when you fold the middle seat down.
Looking for a source that repros this material.
Thanks

Patton,
This may not help you at all, but I'll throw it out there anyway. The vinyl cargo load floor was standard, I believe, in those years. Also I believe you could get a carpeted load floor in the same color as the rest of the carpet. If you got this option, the carpet had some vinyl edging around it & it was in the same shape as the vinyl pieces. My vinyl pieces were torn/damaged beyond repair, so I optioned up to the carpet pieces. My interior shop ordered extra yards of carpet from the same manufacturer of the carpet & sewed the pieces & they turned out great.
Otherwise I don't know of anyone that makes those vinyl pieces.
Good luck.
Scott

Thanks Scott....I'm looking for the stuff by the yard for a non-wagon project so the carpet isn't an option here.
I'll try SMS Auto and see if they know anything.
Still looking.

Patton,
Maybe this company can help you out or point you in the right direction?
http://www.aquatransferprinting.com/patterns.html They have an awesome woodgrain section and from what I can see they manufacture just about everything!

Thanks Mike! Yep..$79/yd @SMS. 54" width roll is what it's cut from.
They kept referring to it as "Linoleum"....doesn't look like Linoleum to me so we'll see what the sample looks like. I'll post a pic of it when it gets here.
Apparently the stuff isn't listed on their website either so if anyone is looking for it you are better off calling them and dealing with the people over the phone.
