1969 Flat top wagon

Need to do floor pans in a 69 flat top wagon, from what research I found on the chevelle wagons is that they used the 64-67 floor pans in the wagons and el co's. Would this be true for the cutlass wagon as well? I see that they sell a 4 door floor pan, but from what I read its not the same.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Also doing a 4 speed conversion on the wagon, so if anyone had some reference points on the tunnel that would be very helpful.

Once upon a time not to many years ago 64-65 F-85 floor, trunk pans and all the braces were not available for my 64 Resto-Mod 64 F-85 post car project. So after a little research I discovered that the dimensions are the same between the early A-body Olds and the Pontiac Tempest-GTO. The difference is the stamping of the panels at manufacturing ( the creases) don't exactly match in what was left in the original F-85 pans. After measuring 5 times( it's joke!) and carefully trimming, lining up etc and then welding them in. Finished off with some seam sealer after grinding down and smoothing out the welding they are fine. The interior floor you will cover it with carpet nobody will notice the slight difference. With a careful eye, if you look up at the toe board under the dash as well as inside the trunk you will see where the new panel stamping's doe not quite match the old originals. Now roll the clock forward, I would bet you will find something closer to fit, like a Chevelle more door. Pictures attached so show you what I mean. Please make sure your braces are good and solid. Although I had a few bad braces, I replaced all of mine including the trunk.

The 68-72 wagons use the same 116" wheelbase as the four doors. If you can get four door pans, they should work. The two door cars used a 112" wheelbase and the pans are different.

Because the 120" wheelbase Vista was nearly the same size as the 123" wheelbase full size wagon.

And Pontiac didn't have a version of the long wheel base Vista or SportWagon, so what's your point?

In the 1964 model year, Olds sold about 14,000 flattop wagons, 14,000 Vistas, and 17,000 full size wagons. Note that the 14,000 Vistas were sold in only about a half year of production. In the first full year of Vista production in 1965, Olds sold about 33,000 of them - along with another 14,000 flattops. So, 45,000 wagons total with full size in 64 and 47,000 without in 65.

Not exactly an A-body flattop wagon...

But since you brought it up, just under 14,000 Custom Cruisers were sold in the 1971 model year and over 132,000 total over the 1971-1976 production run of that body style. And most of that was during Oil Crisis #1 (1973 was the peak year for sales).

They sold one to my father. Below are the only photos of it that I can come up with from the family archives. Both are freeze-frames of Super 8 film. (My father was big on family movies and not so much on family still photography.)

One thing that kept production of the '71 Custom Cruiser (and a lot of other GM cars) low was the big GM strike in the fall of 1970, which lasted 67 days. It wouldn't be fair to characterize the '71 Custom Cruisers as inherently unpopular as your comment implies. The context of the time must be included. Sales that year were affected by the strike, and who knows what they would have been in the absence of it. The '71 Custom Cruiser was the first full-size Oldsmobile wagon since 1964.
