Welcome to the site redmule. I've moved your question to a new thread and will post pictures of a 1955 steering wheel step by step. Let me know if you have questions about any of the pictures. John

The last couple pictures show me putting the wheel into the rubber cup on the horn bar. Its the rubber cup that holds the horn bar to the wheel. Then go back up to pictures 7&8 to see the little pin that activates the horn. In picture 9 you need to make sure this little pin is touching the copper tab. Sorry, I should have started with a complete wheel and taken it apart step by step. What I did is started with the bare horn bar and added pieces step by step. Did this clear it up? Do you have all the pieces shown in the photos?

Glad to be of help, us Olds owners have to stick together

1956 convertible, sounds like a really cool car. Please post pictures when you have a chance. In fact, if you have time please create a thread in the newbie section and introduce yourself. You can tell us more about your car and if you know any of the history on it. There's a lot of members here who own mid-50's Oldsmobiles and can help with any additional questions that may come up.

X2 on the pictures. A 56 vert is a very cool and desirable car, love to see a few pictures especially on how it goes together on your restoration..... Tedd

How much are you asking for the complete steering wheel and horn parts?
