Master Cylinder filler tube

My filler tube for the master Cylinder broke off. It looks like it was pressed in. *I used JB weld to put it back on and it lasted for a while. I thought about taking it to a shop and having it welded on. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this? If it needs to be replaced *that is okay. One last thing is there a retro kit to put a fluid resoviour in there.*

ok I had to go look at your profile to figure out what kind of car you were talking about. It helps us respond better to questions if we know the type of car and model year. I'm guessing it's a 56 Holiday Sedan?

I'm trying to remember if the tube and the master cylinder are like metals. If they are ferrous you could soft solder the two together.Probably the reason the JB weld gave it up was #1 it wasn't clean enough or #2 brake fluid attacked the JB weld.. There is no strain on those parts and it shouldn't take much to keep it to gether...Tedd
