AVOID AG REBUILDERS - Terrible service

As some of you know I sent my water pump from my 1963 Oldsmobile 394 engine into AG Rebuilders to be rebuilt. The pump was weeping from the housing a little but other than that it was fine. The company rebuilt the pump and sent it back with a crack in the corner of the water pump housing. I had before and after pictures of this crack. I talked with them and they asked me to send it back. Once they got it they accused me of not cleaning the timing cover alignment pin and over torquing the bolt...both of which are not true. There was no binding on the pin at all. The crack was there when they sent it. Now they are charging me an additional $220 for the repair of the crack that they caused. This puts my "rebuild" cost at $530 including shipping which is crazy.

My advice to everyone, avoid this company.

Damn! That's some bad customer service.
Do they usually have a good rep?

Sorry for the frustration

Bummer.

Hopefully you paid with a credit card and can deny charges.

Are you sure they cracked YOUR water pump? I pose that they swapped your core for one already completed (with a crack they missed). That's how Bumper Boyz works.

I can't be sure. I'm just not going to ever use them for any future projects.
