Power brake question

I just had power brake booster on 56 super 88 rebuilt and have a few questions. How much brake pedal throw is normal, I had the booster rebuilt because there was almost no throw when brakes applied, the car stopped fine but just thought I would rebuild it, now after install and bleed it does not seem much better. I replaced the vacuum hoses and checked vacuum and check valve, it holds vacuum at a minimum of 20 in Hg of vacuum. Any help and comments appreciated.

Did you do the brake shoe adjustment procedure?

So the only issue was you didn't think the "throw" seemed right?
And what exactly do you mean by that? Did you think the pedal did not depress far enough or did it depress too far?
