55 Olds power seat repositioning
Has anyone repositioned the bolting of the 4 way power seat? I am over 6'5" and with the seat all the way back and down my legs are hitting the stock steering wheel with my foot on the pedals. Wondering if I have to reposition the motors as well as the seat tracks.?

If your lap/ legs are hitting the steering wheel and you are all the way down on the adjustment farther back won't be of much help, it's that damn 18 inch wheel that causes all the problems. You might look into a after market wheel if you could stand it.
Back in the day, 60 years ago, hardly anybody was over six foot and most were 150 lbs or less and around five seven on average.
I can't think of a way to lower the slider frame much but maybe you could bolt the seat frame flat to the floor with out the slider and adjust it for your legs only. Does anyone else drive your car? if so you might have to have a pillow ready for them if they can't reach the peddles..... Tedd

Thanks for getting back to me Tedd. Love my car but hate aftermarket steering wheels. If someone made a smaller diameter reproduction wheel I would have one. Still going to try to noodle out a way of moving the tracks and motors back about 2 inches.

I don't know if your seat frame mounting is the same as a tri five Chevy, but I did it this way on a couple of them. This is the article.
