1950's manual transmission? Help identifying

Hi All
Years ago I picked up this gearbox and bellhousing(?) with a bunch of Oldsmobile parts. So... I thought it might be from an early Olds but haven't done anything with it. Anybody recognize it? Any ideas how I could key it out? John

Looks more like a flathead Ford around mid to late forties. Definitely column shift.

Open drive shaft so at least 49 or newer, up to 53, 54 different bolt pattern, but does look FORD with the starter drive coming in from the rear. Good luck.

And my answer, which I know you were waiting for, is "This is from a lawnmower or possibly a tractor." You're welcome.
