Who has new leaf and coil springs?

I am looking to order some new leaf and coil springs for my 1956 oldsmobile 88 w/o air conditioning. Has anyone had experience with these guys at General Spring? https://www.generalspringkc.com/1951...pring-5-leaf/? I know fusick has them, but I always try to avoid fusick if I can because I have found them to be the most expensive. I also found these guys at Eaton Spring., if anyone has used them before https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/a...ion/series-88/.

I bought my coils from Fusick and got the rear leafs from Truckspring.com. They were about the same price.

For the rear leaf springs, I would go to a spring shop and have them rebuilt and re-arched, they can set the body height to where ever you want it. I've always found this moog chart (link below) to be an effective tool to coil spring selection.

If the springs are anything like mine were, which were 100% original and completely rusted and nasty, It would make much more sense to purchase brand new ones.
I imagine the shop rate to rebuild old springs would surpass the cost to buy new ones anyways.

Thanks for the responses. That's good information. I was reading about them getting re-arched but I guess the problem becomes finding someone who still does this and 2) they'll probably last a year or less. And you guys are right, look like I'm not getting away with replacing the rear springs for less than 400.

When I was shopping Eaton had the cheapest for stock springs, but shipping was a bit high. For lowering spring, Jamco had everyone beat, and shipping was less.

Checkout the Oldsmobile page and Suspension page on https://www.vintagepartsource.com there are several suppliers listed with coil and leaf springs.

I'll check those other places out, and that vintage part source is a good find!
