Where to get carpeting?

I've searched online, but can't find anyone that lists carpet for my 47 model 66 coupe. What do you guys do for carpeting? Do you have it custom made or is there someplace I haven't found that carries it? I have found carpeting for a 40's Chevy from Chevs of the 40's, but don't know if it will work. Any ideas?

Have you inquired at/of SMS? Contact them by phone, or here - http://www.smsautofabrics.com/contact.php

That's one I haven't heard of, thanks. They don't list an Olds model earlier than 1950 though.

Dennis I don't know if you still are looking for carpeting but this is what I have saved: http://www.ebay.com/itm/311072436655...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
As well as I contacted SMS and had them send me a packet. Both are on the pricey side in my opinion.

If you know anyone that has a 1946-1948 Chevrolet 5 passenger coupe, compare the measurements of the floor to the ones of your Olds.I think they will be the same. Larry

Thanks Jenni, that is the first one that I've seen that has said it was for an Olds! It is kinda pricey, though

Larry, I have been thinking that a chevy coupe of the same year may be the same, too, but don't know anyone with a chevy coupe. If they are indeed the same, I wonder why the carpet places don't mention that in their info?

Smile

Probably because there are so few Olds coupes being restored that they didn't think to mention them ,or Pontiac,or Buick if they are the same. I would be very surprised if GM made different floor pans for the 4 models. I was unable to find the wheelbase on your 1947 Olds Coupe, but the 1946-48 Chevrolet 5 passenger coupe wheelbase is 116"! If yours is the same that would strengthen our suspicions that they are the same. Larry

My wheelbase is 119", Larry, but I'm quite sure the nose is longer on the Olds. However, I've heard that from the firewall back the Olds 66 coupe is pretty much the same as the chevy coupe.
