Trunk Latch 1940 Series 70

Hello- looking for some help identifying what to buy for a missing part on my 1940 70. The internal trunk latch is missing- I discovered after purchasing the car only a piece of flat bent metal was attached to the latch handle and doesn't work or engage very well. I've tried to identify what to buy on eBay and I looked at a 1941 Chevrolet in person to help me figure this out. There are several similar but different options stating they fit my car- but hoping someone here can point me in the right direction (a picture or link of what to purchase).

Another question for anyone in the know- does anyone rebuild radio's from this era?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Link is a picture of the car in my collection.

I'm not sure if this will help. But here's a couple pages coped out of the 1940 Shop Manual. The second one has pictures that may or may not show what you need, but I figured it was worth a try. John

You might reach out to Bob Petters in NJ. He is the 39/40 year advisor for OCA. Once you’ve reached enough posts for receiving PM’s I’ll share the contact info.😀. He may have what you need.
