Check and see if a 1953 Bel Air Sunvisor won't work."Big Jim's has fiberglass one On EBay, for under $300, and Bobs Classic Chevrolet Parts has steel ones to fit '53 Bel Air for $600 . Pontiac is listed on one of these sites and I think Olds might be the same. Larry

That's a beauty! How much does it cost to ship something like that to the UK?

Yes ,I found it also, but after reading the fine print,I was hesitant to tell you about it. Missing parts, rust, pitted chrome, etc. Sounds like he thinks that Chevrolet and Pontiac might also work.If they will work, seems like a better deal to go with new. And not have all the work and worries. Larry

This is the problem Dennis, I have spent as much as part costs and sometimes more on shipping and customs charges....it really is a killer, you got it good.

Larry, I also found out it had been listed before as fitting Chevy & Pontiac with a ? for Olds, now it's been re-listed for a 53 Olds with ? over the other two, as far as the condition, i'm prepared to restore whatever I get should it need it...but at $700 plus shipping and customs.

I'd contact Big Jim's and see if he knows if the Chevrolet / Pontiac fits Oldsmobiles. Larry

Well I've learnt this much, that Olds were the only cars that had a louvred Sun Visor, all the rest Chevy, Pontiac & Buick didn't.
So the Visor on Ebay is an original for a 53.
