Rim replacement

Anyone know of a source for OEM style replacement steel wheels for a 1949 Olds 88? Im chasing weights trying to balance new Coker Classic tires only to find out that three of my four wheels are bent! Im hoping there's a company out there that remanufactures OEM style wheels or can straiten out old ones.

Mid seventies Chevy two wheel drive have 5x5 15 inch wheels that will fit but I don't know what your wheel cover options would be.
Have you contacted John (2blu442) and see if he has any original wheels. He has parted out a couple 50's Oldsmobile's and your covers may fit on them. They are also 5x5....Tedd

You may be able to have your originals straightened and trued.

I wouldn't hold those tires blameless either.

Thanks friends. I spent the day messing with, measuring, mounting, balancing all four to find that while the rims aren’t perfect, the larger problem is three of the four Mexico made Coker classic tires. These are new. Sad quality control. I’m thankful Jeggs is taking them back in exchange for some BFG Silvertone white walls. Let’s hope they are better and not simply a rebranded Coker. The add says made in USA. That’s an improvement at least.

Just FYI, Coker Tire is no longer owned by the Coker family. Maine, you're not the first to have balancing issues with newer Coker tires. Look into Diamondback Classics. They can put any whitewall you desire on a new modern radial tire, and the guy who started the company has a 1950 Olds and is a professional rubber chemist.
