Rebuilding vacuum slectors/57 olds

Two part question:
1)Has anyone rebuilt 5the push button vacuum selector on a 57 Olds. ?? I think I have one heck of a leak in the "off "position.
2) While I am posting: In need of the 2 " clip that joins the lower front windsheild reveal molding (in the center) togeather..
Thanks,
Fletch

Check and see if anyone of the vacuum hoses have come loose from the button assemblies. You have two on them one for heat on the left of the steering column and the fresh air is to the right of the column. There is a "t" connector in hose feed line that ties therm together. Its very hard to see if all of the lines are connected. A flashlight and mirror is the best way to view these areas. Good luck its a bear of an area to work in.

Hi: Sorry for the belated response.. Yep repalced all the lines, used OBGYN forcepts(sp?) to replace lines.. very handy !!. vacuum leak when system off, has to be in the switch head,. I guess I will drop unit and proceed. I do have an extra A/C control unit that can serve a a guide.
Regards,
Fletch

Keep an eye on e-bay. I saw a set for sale a couple of weeks ago. You might be able to rebuild it. I have not had mine out of the car so don't know if that is possible. Let me know what you find out after you remove the controls.
