I have a Carter carb 4bbl I am trying to ID. The car it's on is a "51" Super 88 Deluxe Club Coupe. I'm tying to find a rebuild kit but there are lots of listings for the WCFB. I would also like to know if this is the correct carb for this this car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just got this car from my father and would like to keep it. However, both the car and I need help. LOL
Thanks in advance.

PS.. How do I adjust the idle?
It's probably not necessary to nail down the exact year. Carter made the same carburetor for many years. I have a Jeep with a Carter carburetor and when I get a rebuild kit it comes with the parts for every similar model.
Thank you for your prompt reply and the complement. No metal tag but would like to know 1) how adjust idle.. it seems kind of fast .. tach was showing about 800 rpm. What is High Idle and Low Idle.
2) is Carter WCFB the correct carb for this model and year
1951 Oldsmobiles had two barrel carbs.
The four barrel carb was not introduced until 1952, and only on the super 88 and 98 models.
It was common years ago to upgrade a two barrel engine with a four barrel carb and manifold from a junk yard.
I would keep it the way it is, most people don't know (or care ) whether it's supposed to have a two or four barrel carb.
Oldsmobile only used Carter carbs from 1952 thru '54. Without the tag it is impossible to tell the exact year.
However, as mentioned, carb kits typically will fit a variety of models.
I think if you ordered a kit for a '53 Olds Carter four barrel, you will be OK.
From '52 thru '54 Olds used both Carter and Rochester carbs in production.
What each car got was a matter of which type of carb was available at the assembly plant the day the car was made.
