Olds Dakota Cluster Panel.jpeg

Painless wiring almost complete. The Dakota VSX Digital is installed and calibrated. LoKar shifter mounted and wired. Waiting for some quarter panel work, and some custom designed covers for the LS engine, and it'll be ready to paint.
Still need seats and top. I haven't selected wheels yet, but I like Foose.

Wow. What a neat car this is going to be. Looking forward to seeing the final after it is painted.

Progress slowed down quite a bit as we've been concentrating on a '55 Chevy Nomad . We're back on the Olds. Yesterday we replaced the Muscle car oil pan on the LS engine. It was hanging too low, so I replaced it with a Holley oil pan. Not only does it look nice but the bottom is even with the transmission. I had to install stronger rear shocks, and the dual exhaust with an H pipe now comes out the back. The quarter panels were a bitch to complete, but they look good now. I've installed 2.25" 15" American Classic whitewalls.
We've bought all the upholstery material, but the canvas top is too small. It either shrunk, or they bought the wrong size to begin with. It came in an opened box when I bought the car three years ago. I'll probably buy a new canvas top from Hydroe Tops in Florida. Unless I can find it in California.
I am going to need the door and rear garnish and the door panel for the upholstery.. Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
The LS engine is a beast in this car but I'm still having problems with sensors. We just installed the sensors on the exhaust pipes just down from the header collectors, It was causing the engine to run rich since the computer couldn't sense it coming to temp.

Looks awesome. What color are you painting it?

Looks like a Dakota Digital.

Cluster gauge panel is a Dakota Digital. The paint will be a two stage Lexus midnight blue.
