model number tag decoding
There are two ID tags on the firewall of my 47 Olds Two Door Sedanette, one on the far left and one closer to the middle.
Far left tag; Style# 4736070
Body# L 1822
Trim# 5
Paint# 79
TOP
ACC
They are in roughly those locations on the tag, and there are no digits behind the "TOP" or "ACC" labels. The "5" and the "79" are a little below their seemingly respective labels though, a little out of allignment.
Middle tag; Olds 78 61181
Can any one decipher the codes for me?

47 = 1947
3607 = Dynamic Club Sedan, 5 Pass., 125"W.B
L 1822 = production #
5 = interior trim color and fabric (can't locate 5 ????)
79 = exterior paint would be Ivy Green Poly for '47
Middle tag shows
78 = model 8 cyl
That's all I can do maybe someone here or at http://forums.aaca.org/forum.php can finish the rest.

This may help with additional generic info on your car.

sure:
IMG_0736.jpg
Needs a lot of work.
Street rod material. It has a really badly done S10 frame conversion under it, so it's too far gone for a restoration.
It is fairly complete body and trim wise, and not a lot of rust.
