Lifters

What is the best set of Lifters to replace the original set in my 1955 Starfire with the 324 engine?

Why are you replacing the lifters ? Its a giant crapshoot putting new lifters on an old camshaft.

Well, I went through with changing the lifters. It turned out the lifters were not original, but a replacement set that are 350 Chevy. I bought and my Dad installed the new (and correct) lifters as we already was getting a valve job done, and that problem appears to be solved.

I assume, you are running on a new cam with those new lifters, otherwise the wear pattern will not match and lifters and cam will not last any time at all.... Tedd

Tedd, the cam was inspected by my father, then by my brother. Both said the cam did not need to be changed in this instance. I was going to buy one if they had said it was needed. I have to do what they say because they know what they are doing.
