Help Identifying a '46-'48 Olds Convertible

I hope I might have some assistance in identifying the year and model of this car. The differences among the '46-'48 seem so minor that I'm uncertain which year it may be. By the way, the photo was taken "in period" at my family's driveway in New England. This was my Mom's first car.

Yours is first, and, below it, in order from top to bottom, are 1946, 1947, and 1948 Oldsmobile convertibles.

I don't think yours is a '46 because the front edge of the side spear, where it ends just before the front wheel opening, looks different on the '46 than it does on your car. Yours is narrower at the front tip.

I also think that yours is not a '48 because the trim piece on the forward edge of the rear fender looks to be chrome or stainless steel on the '48 whereas yours is black like on the '46 and '47 models.

So I'll say yours is a '47.

Thank you, jaunty75, for your analysis and help. I will go forward believing my Mom's first car to be a 1947. Regards, Jay.
