F35 / F36 timing

1936 F-36 Firing order is 1 5 3 6 2 4 . As far as I can tell No. 1 on the cap is at the 10 o'clock position and the distributor spins counter clock wise.
As to compression ratio is 6.0:1 Cranking pressure is about 111 lbs.psi. Hope this helps.

I would pull number one plug and hold your thumb over the plug hole crank the engine and feel for the power stroke. That is when there is a build up of pressure in the cylinder. The distributor may have been removed and put back in in a different position (maybe #1 in the 2 o'clock or 4 o'clock). A lot of engines will run OK no matter where the distributor is positioned as long as the number one plug is moved to the same spot. Other engines will only run right with the distributor in the factory position.
