Decoding Trim plate and deluxe question
All,
My father in law has a 1949 model 76 club coupe, and the question is can anybody decode the trim plate? And what makes a coupe "deluxe" vs non deluxe? We have no idea if his is or not.
The trim plate
Style 49-3527
Body No bk 1414 (this was restruck at the factory and was originally 1214)
trim no 1
paint no 47 A
I do know it was made in Kansas City.
That is a before pic, and then the other is a pic of the body shell now after 2 years, the car is 95% complete now.

The '47 DeLuxe had interior and trim differences, about the same ones as '46 so maybe '49 followed the same deal?
The Old Car Manual Project site has the DeLuxe specifications in the brochure for the '47.

All of that information for my 1942 Olds #66 Club Coupe is listed/found in the 1942 Shop Manual. Get a Shop Manual for your year or find someone that has one and see if that info is in it! The color and fabric for my interior is even listed - it is based off of the paint color code. Maybe this will help?
