Alternator mounts on a 324.

Lets see some pics of how you mounted your alternators especially if you have power steering in the stock location. I'm going with a GM one wire and just need some ideas before I build.

Not your best choice. The stock three wire (actually, just two wires) splices right into the stock harness. Run the red wire from the No. 2 terminal on the plug to the threaded BATT terminal on the alternator. The large red wire from the BATT terminal connects to the red wire that connects to the BAT terminal on your old regulator. You can alternately run this wire to the junction block on the horn relay. Run the brown wire from the No. 1 terminal on the alternator connector to the brown wire that previously connected to the GEN terminal on the old regulator. That's all. Now your GEN light will work as intended and the system will charge properly at idle. Most importantly, you can get a three wire alternator (and the internal parts to repair it) at any auto parts store in any podunk town in the country.

Wireing is no problem for me at all besides I'm going with an aftermarket harness. All the same podunk parts stores also have the newer one wires for the same price as the three wires. I just got one and put it on the slant six thats in my 69 D100.
I'm just looking for pics and ideas on where to mount the brackets for the alternator.

Wow, I can't believe no one has posted one yet! I though more people would be running alts. in here. I think the hamb would be a better place to ask this.

Hilarious. Some of the H.A.M.B. hardliners sound just like the AACA hardliners.

I do lurk over there, though. Some of the fabrication threads are amazing.
