i found a tag on the passenger side engine bay tells me the car was made in canada does any one know were the 1956 olds 88 were built in canada thanks

 

According to wiki they weren't in 54-56, or even later for that matter. Can you post a picture of that tag?

Is it possible the car was sold new in Canada, and maybe there was a GM location there where they were modified to meet Canadian standards? Though it seems it would be more economical to ID Canadian bound cars and make any mods right at the assembly plant.
