I'm in the process of restoring my 1958 Olds 98 convertible, that my dad bought new. It has the original 371 engine with a 4 barrel carb. I also have an original mint condition J2 complete setup with the J2 air cleaner. For ongoing maintenance and trouble free cruising, I'm not planning on using the original J2. I would like to convert the engine to fuel injection. Can the J2 manifold be used with new 2 barrel fuel injection carbs? Can the original air cleaner be used? Any foreseeable problems with linkages, fit, etc? Thanks

 

You have such a rare car and the j2 makes it more desirable. The car only on the single 2 bbl. If it is done right, it will be reliable. I have a 57 j2 and runs very well. Just my 2 cents
