56 Fuel sending unit

Hey guys I am putting a brand new fuel sender from Fusicks in my new tank from them too. They sent me a rubber gasket but I have heard that they leak and the best is to use cork and put a sealer on the bolt threads or they will leak too. Is this correct? Thanks!

Probably a good idea. The one on my 54 came from Fusick and it leaks.

My new Fusick tank blew a gasket. The problem is modern fuel. It eats your gasket and builds up a lot of pressure in the non vented tank. I pulled mine and plan on venting the tank. It's that or don't fill your tank more than half full.

Isn't the tank vented by the fuel cap maybe your cap isn't venting properly. I haven't put my new Fusick tank in yet but I have their locking gas cap on my orig right now

Gas cap should be the vented type, might be why your gaskets are giving it up....... Tedd

I had replaced the vented gas cap and it still blew gas out the top.
